Welcome to the International Latino Women’s Congress website.

Since May 2000, the International Latino Women’s Congress has been working with Latino women and families in the areas of health, education, social services, faith, youth and children.

In September 2002, we held our International Conference in Puerto Rico.  This was a successful conference where representatives of 23 countries were present to discuss issues of great concern to the well being on the Latino families.  From May 2000 to the present, we held Roundtable Discussions in many countries where participants came to receive and share information on issues of great interest to the Latino women.  There issues were related to health care, depression, fulfillment of social needs, religious beliefs, community leadership, safety, children’s and adolescent’s behaviors.

On a more recent note, during April 2008, a Roundtable was held in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, where 25 brave women came to a Mini-Conference to learn and discuss depression as a condition that limits their daily lives’ activities.  The Mini-Conference led to the formation of an organization’s Chapter in Coatzacoalcos.  The Chapter elected officers who were left with a Charter to continue identifying and working with women in need of attention on their depression and other psychological issues.

The International Latino Women’s Congress, since May 2005, has sponsored Tree of Life Behavioral Services as a clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy to individuals, families, adolescents and children.  The clinic has provided services to more than 2500 individuals in the Philadelphia area.

The organization has provided many scholarships to individuals who were in pursuit of a graduate degrees in the areas of social work, counseling, psychotherapy, and human services.

The International Latino Women’s Congress welcomes your suggestions, comments, letters of support, and volunteers who want to participate in the fulfillment of our mission and carrying out our goals and objectives.
